Read about Jehad Hammad, who was sponsored to go to King’s College London:
“I am Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University of Gaza. I have been granted a scholarship by the Zamala Fellowship Programme to develop my electronic Pharmacology Animation Book at King’s College London (KCL). During a seven-month programme starting in January 2017, I will work with the head of Pharmacology Department, Professor Susan Brain, and her team.
With the help of technicians and medical students in Gaza, I transferred the classical static images into more dynamic and interactive 2D and 3D animation videos. There are many pharmacology animation videos available on the internet. But my book is the first comprehensive electronic resource. The narrated animations can be easily navigated.
Professor Susan Brain, the Head of Pharmacology Department at KCL wrote:
“We are very excited by the possibility and potential for your distant learning programme for Pharmacology. To our knowledge there is no similar programme available. You have made a great start on these programmes and the project.”
My project and the scholarship that has followed would not have been possible without the generous support of FQMS, which amounted to £10,000 over two years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all FQMS members, especially Dr. Lina Nashef, for all their support.”
