“During my work as a teaching assistant at the Surgery Department – Faculty of Medicine, we contributed to making new additions to this course to make it more realistic and helpful. Of these additions were the Advanced Trauma Life Support course (ATLS) and the Basic Surgical Skills (BSS) course. These courses aimed to improve senior medical student’s skills and make them more confident to deal with trauma patients. We adopted these Courses for the 6th-year students (about 135 students) and it is conducted in coordination with Hayat Center (a training centre belonging to the IUG Faculty of Medicine).
