FQMS has always supported professional development for the medical students, faculty and doctors.
This included supporting visiting lecturers and examiners, who focus on bedside teaching, OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) stations and giving specialist talks, as well as aiding planning trips for OxPal, who set up an internet-based teaching platform.
Professional development is also encouraged through supporting research presentations at reputable international conferences. Palestinian medicine needs an academic profile and encouraging students and young doctors to develop their research potential is vital for this.
